EXCURSIONS AND HIKING
For those who like hiking excursions, they will find in Mallorca the opportunity of walking along routes of exceptional beauty, with the sea of intense blue almost always a protagonist. The majority of them can be found in the Sierra de la Tramuntana (mountain range) located on the north coast, where the highest points of Mallorca can be found, together with the most spectacular torrents. The Sierra de Llevant, to the east of Mallorca, with more modest and more disperse elevations, is another interesting place for hikers. Lastly, the coast also provides hiking opportunities, above all to access virgin beaches, such as in the case of the Arta beaches within the Levant natural park, the route along the virgin beaches of Manacor or access to the beaches of other locations.

Dry-Stone Route GR-221
You can walk it from stage 5, beginning the route at the refuge of Can Boi in Deià; and from stage 6, beginning the route at the refuge of Tossals Verds, of the Dry-Stone route. For those arriving by car, you can access the route by the Faro des Cap Gros track, we recommend you walk along this track to avoid parking problems close to the refuge.

Artà-Lluc Route GR-222
The Artá-Lluc Route GR-222 goes through the towns of Artá, Capdepera, Santa Margalida, Petra, Ariany, Maria de la Salut, Muro, Llubí, Inca Selva and Escorca. The itinerary starts in the village of Artà, passes through the Llevant Natural Park and arrives at the Betlem chapel. From there you can enjoy magnificent coastal landscapes through to Son Serra de Marina, where the Route moves inland until arriving at the village of Santa Margalida.

From here to Inca, the Route provides a great range of rural settings with very good examples of traditional Mallorca architecture, as well as other ethnological elements. The arrival in Lluc is through the historical access to the sanctuary: the old Luc path, restored by the Ministry of Mallorca between the years of 1989 and 1994.

The project has been marked out from the network of public paths, some of which joined the different villages until they were replaced by the current roads.

Currently, work is ongoing on the recovery and signposting of the paths which form part of the route. Currently, stage 2 has been signposted between s’Arenalet des Verger and Betlem, and stage 5 between Caimari and Lluc.

Cala Lladó - na Pòpia (es Far Vell)
Trajectory of 3'8 kms, which goes from Cala Lladó through to Far Vell, on the summit of Popia, with moderate difficulty. The maximum height is of 352 metres. The path, designed to transport heavy goods for supplying the lighthouse, has a very gentle gradient which makes it pleasant.

It can be covered (there and back) in around three hours.
The remains of the old lighthouse and the views towards Mallorca and over the cliffs, make it the most attractive route in the park.

Cala Lladó – Far de Tramuntana
1’7 km route which goes from Cala Lladó through to Far de Tramuntana. It can be covered (there and back) in around 60 minutes.
The gradient is gentle and the maximum height is of 65 metres.
The views to the Lighthouse Interpretation Centre and the views of the coast of Mallorca are its main attractions.

Cala Lladó - Far de Llebeig
Route of 4'5 kms which goes from Cala Lladó to the Llebeig lighthouse, of average difficulty. The maximum height, at the lighthouse, is of 121 metres.
The road, built at the beginning of the XX century, has a very gentle gradient.
It can be covered, there and back, in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Good views over the cliffs and the flight path of Eleonora’s Falcon in the autumn. The recently restored (2004) Llebeigh Tower (XVI century) can also be visited.

Cala Lladó - Na Miranda
Route of 1'2 kms which goes from Cala Lladó to Na Miranda and returns to Cala Lladó by the Tramuntana road, with a low level difficulty. The maximum height, at Coll de Tramuntana, is of 50 metres.
It is circular and can be covered in 30 minutes.
Good views over the Freu and Cala Lladó. You can see the old crop lands of Cala Lladó (olives and cereals), currently rehabilitated for the park and the production of wild species.
